Corolla Map Kate and Jim - Outer Banks, NC
Welcome

DIRECTIONS!

We will be married at 2:30 pm by Pastor John Strauss at the Corolla Chapel in Corolla:

The Corolla Chapel
1136 Corolla Village Rd
Corolla, NC 27927

The chapel is one of Corolla's oldest buildings and is located behind the Currituck Beach Lighthouse in soundside old Corolla Village. It was built in 1885 and was recently moved across the street so that it could be expanded to accommodate its growing attendance. The main part of the chapel still retains the original interior walls and ceilings and is furnished with many of the original items including its pews, pedal organ, pulpit and pulpit chairs.

DIRECTIONS TO THE CEREMONY:

If you've opted to take the Beach Bus, we'll send you an email with the details on when/where they'll pick you up.

From the South:
- Once you're on the Outer Banks, travel north on NC-12 (the main road up the Outer Banks) toward Corolla. It's approximately 20 miles from the 158/NC-12 split (near the Hilton Garden Inn).
- On your drive up, you'll pass through the town of Duck, by The Sanderling, by the Hampton Inn, and by the Currituck Club. From the club it's less than 10 minutes.
- Once you pass the Whalehead Club (Heritage Park), take the next left onto a little road (just past the lighthouse, before the little plaza). If you see the Texaco or reach the end of the road, you've gone too far.
- Go past the little Corolla Village BBQ, and take a right.
- You should see the Corolla Chapel on your left in a minute.

From the Inn at Corolla Light:
- Head South on NC-12, until you pass the Texaco or little plaza.
- Take the next Right - before the Whalehead Club entrance (if you go into the Whalehead Club or the lighthouse road that's Ok, it all goes to the same place)
- Drive to the end of the road and take a Right.
- The Corolla Chapel is just a little bit down the road on the left.

Approximate driving times (in light traffic):
- From Kitty Hawk - 40 - 45 minutes
- From the 158/NC-12 split (Hilton Garden Inn) - 30 minutes
- From Duck - 24 minutes
- From the Hampton Inn - 12 minutes
- From the Currituck Club - <10 minutes
NOTE: Saturday is the primary check-in day for rental houses. Although check-in times are at 4pm, there WILL be traffic coming into town that day. Please plan accordingly.
